Calibration of your television will allow you to maximize the investment you have made (and potentially increase its life). Regardless of the display type, we will precisely adjust all picture parameters (color, brightness, contrast, etc.) using test patterns from the Avia Professional DVDs. Grayscale calibration will bring the set as close as possible to the broadcast standard D65 (6500 Kelvin) color point allowing your display to more accurately display color information and most accurately represent what film directors intended when creating their movies. We use a color analyzer along with an reference device to ensure the most accurate image possible.

Experience
Casual Home Theater has been calibrating all types of displays since 2005.
Equipment
Sencore ColorPro 5000: This color meter (tri-stimulus color analyzer) allows our calibrators to accurately measure the color displayed by your television/display. The ColorPro 5000 is a software/hardware based meter developed primarily for use with the new fixed pixel displays (e.g., DLP, Plasma and new forms of LCD such as LCOS).
DataColor Professional 7.0: The Spyder color meter (tri-stimulus color analyzer) allows our calibrators to accurately measure the color displayed by all of the latest displays on the market today (e.g., DLP, Plasma, LCD, LCOS, etc.).
GretagMacbeth Eye-One Beamer spectraradiometer to more accurately measure color information than is possible with a tri-stimulus device. The use of the “beamer” allows us to better calibrate every television/display we work on.
Sony PVM-96 Broadcast Monitor: This professional monitor by Sony uses a phosphor which accurately displays D65 grayscale content. Using this device we can verify the grayscale accuracy of devices (like front projectors) which are hard to measure using a color analyzer. We often use these two devices in combination to produce the most accurate image possible.
Profile/Bio
Casual Home Theater grew out of one man's love for audio/video equipment and into a business with one goal: get it right. While the world of home theater is ever changing, the goal remains the same - to accurately reproduce the theater experience at home. One element of that is to accurately reproduce the video, as intended by the director who created it. Unfortunately, there are lots of factors working against this very simple goal. Our job is to help eliminate or reduce as many of these problems as possible and provide the highest quality image possible for each room and display.

Services & Sales
In addition to ISF calibration, Casual Home Theater offers home theater design and audio calibration services.
Since what you hear accounts for at least half of your entertainment experience, calibration of your audio experience will allow you to get the most from the investment you have made. Regardless of the brands used, audio equipment must be adjusted to work with the room and its furnishings to produce the best sound. We will precisely adjust all audio parameters (speaker size, distance, level, crossover frequency, etc.) using audio test patterns from the Avia Professional DVDs and the Audio Toolkit 5.1. With just these most basic adjustments sound localization and image will dramatically improve. In addition, we can utilize a spectrum analyzer to visualize sound in your room and adjust speaker and listener locations to best suit the space and equipment, further improving the quality of sound in your space.
