Douglas Locklin has designed, installed and calibrated high performance audio video systems for nearly two decades, bringing a musician’s sensitivity and a technician’s attention to detail to the twin arts of audio and video calibration.

Douglas Locklin has designed, installed and operated high performance audio and video systems since 1990, when he left college in Sarasota, Florida to be the sound assistant for the Big Apple Circus. He worked in recording studios and music venues in NYC while pursuing a career as a professional musician, excelling on the trumpet, bass and six string guitars. He has worked with many integration companies in the NY area and worldwide to bring high performance automated home theaters to an exclusive clientèle.

Douglas is trained by the ISF and is a Home Acoustics Alliance Level II Audio Calibration Guru. He is also an AMX control systems ACE certified expert designer, programmer and installer. He has been factory trained and certified by Sencore to operate their audio and video calibration test instruments, and factory trained to design, program and install Lutron lighting control systems.

Playhouse Home Theaters participates in the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association and Douglas has attained the coveted Electronic Systems Designer certification. He is also licensed by the New York Department of State to install alarm, security and video surveillance systems.
